Utsunomiya`s Folktales

Suzumeno-miya Shrine ① Sanekata FUJIWARA

The villagers believed the will, built a Shinto shrine, enshrining the “Treasure ball”, and worshiped Susanoo no Mikoto as a village guardian. Meanwhile, Sanekata FUJIWARA who was the government official of Mutsuno-kuni, also got sick and died. Then Sanekata`s soul was said to become a suzume or sparrow and fly over to the place where his wife died.
