Suzumeno-miya Shrine ① Sanekata FUJIWARA

It is a story of the middle of the Heian era in 995. A person called Sanekata FUJIWARA became a government official of Mutsuno-kuni, or the Mutsu province. Meanwhile, his wife, Ayamehime stayed in Kyoto and prayed for safety of her husband. While she had waited for him impatiently, wishing him to finish his work and come back to Kyoto early, she became unable to wait any longer. At last she left for Oshu to visit her husband.
