Kagamiga-ike Pond

It is a story in the Kamakura era. Shizukagozen, the wife of MINAMOTO no Yoshitsune, was on her way to Oshu, missing her husband. On the way, she decided to purify her hands in this pond before visiting Futaarayama-jinja Shrine of Utsunomiya.
Then a mirror which she had had slid from the sleeve into the pond. The mirror sank far into the bottom of the pond and she could not reach it even stretching out her arm. As there was no help for it, Shizukagozen gave up on the mirror and left the place.
