Although it is thought to be a kind of Iwato-kagura originating from Kanda style, it came to be called Shinmei style or Yoshida style since a successive Hokora-miya of Yasaka preserved this Kagura. The oldest performance of this Kagura dates back to February 1800 as recorded, but it is also said that it has continued without a break from olden times through today.
